This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely load and unload operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving and managing freight will help keep our operations running smoothly and reliably. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Follow planned routes diligently, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions to meet delivery schedules. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Ensure all freight is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed). Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers and flatbeds. Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and equipment like forklifts when applicable. Knowledge of safety protocols for driving tractor-trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
