Duties Operate different types of waste collection trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, with precision and safety. Load and unload waste materials from residential, commercial, or industrial sites using manual lifting techniques and mechanical knowledge. Drive safely along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Assist in the maintenance of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with team members to complete collection routes efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues before departure. Support the disposal process by properly loading waste into appropriate containers or disposal sites. Qualifications Must have own truck and valid car insurance Valid driver's license with experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump truck, or flatbed vehicles. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience in commercial driving or delivery driver roles preferred; familiarity with manual transmission is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the work shift. Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and waste handling. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Prior experience with tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
