Essential Job Duties Safely operate tank wagon and cargo tank vehicles for delivery of gasoline, diesel, lubricants, DEF, and related petroleum products Load, transport, and unload hazardous petroleum products in accordance with 49 CFR HazMat regulations Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections as required by 49 CFR Part 396 Complete and maintain accurate ELD logs, DVIRs, bills of lading, shipping papers, and delivery tickets Follow all Hours of Service regulations under 49 CFR Part 395 Ensure proper use of placards, emergency shut-off systems, grounding, bonding, spill prevention, and overfill protection Inspect hoses, nozzles, meters, valves, pumps, emergency equipment, and cargo tank components prior to and during deliveries Verify tank capacities, product type, and drop locations before unloading Maintain safe loading/unloading zones and follow all flammable liquid handling procedures Report spills, incidents, equipment failures, customer issues, and safety concerns immediately Maintain compliance with Part 397 HazMat route, parking, and attendance requirements Provide professional customer service at all delivery locations Assist with terminal loading procedures and inventory documentation as assigned Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all required emergency equipment is present and functional
Job Requirements:
DOT / Georgia Compliance Requirements Maintain a valid Georgia CDL Maintain HazMat and Tanker endorsements (or X endorsement) Maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Pass and remain eligible for DOT random drug and alcohol testing Maintain an acceptable MVR and CSA safety record Successfully complete all required HazMat recurrent training, spill response, fire extinguisher, and emergency procedures training Remain insurable under company insurance standards Follow all Georgia DPS, FMCSA, and company safety regulations
