Job Description

Riverdale Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver / Transportation Aide to support our residents by safely transporting them to appointments, activities, and scheduled outings. This role is focused solely on resident transportation and plays an important part in ensuring comfort, safety, and quality of life. Position Summary The Driver / Transportation Aide is responsible for safely transporting residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and community outings. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, safety-focused, and enjoys working with seniors in a caring healthcare environment. This position does not include maintenance responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Safely transport residents to medical appointments, activities, and scheduled outings Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles safely Secure wheelchairs using approved restraint systems Ensure resident comfort and safety throughout transportation Perform basic vehicle readiness checks, including cleanliness and fueling Communicate professionally with residents, families, and staff Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and facility policies Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Prior experience transporting seniors or patients preferred but not required Ability to assist residents with mobility needs Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded High school diploma or equivalent Why Join Us We highly value your dedication and commitment to our mission.
