Local Transport Driver

Job Summary:

To safely transport products and materials from one facility in Villa Rica, GA to a

LOCAL LOCATION

, to verify that load counts are correct and in some instances, to load and unload products and materials from/into transport trailer. Driving Requirements CDL Class A License•3 years of driving Motorist Vehicle Report Physical Requirements Able to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch on a regular basis to check equipment or supplies in low-lying areas. Able to sweep, mop, and do general as well as, detailed cleaning. Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours, while working with and around machinery. Able to work in variable temperatures and humid environments. Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Able to push and/or pull items in excess of 50 pounds on occasion. Request help as needed. Able to raise arms overhead on an occasional basis. Able to climb ladders in a safe and proper manner. Education & Experience High School Diploma or its equivalency in experience and/or training. Power Industrial Training Certification Position Responsibilities / Objectives Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality Back-in Tractor Trailer/Get Trailer out of traffic way•Safely and in a timely manner. Keep an organized and efficient flow of incoming deliveries staged at end of dock. Keep an organized and efficient flow of outgoing pallets. All pallets are to be wrapped and staged at the end of dock. Bill of Lading is required on all shipments with description of item on truck. Ensure that Bills of Lading are 100% correct•including product counts, lot numbers, and "Best if used by Date." Inspect the entire transport vehicle before departing from facility. Truck must be fueled, and miles must be logged. Assist in loading and unloading products and materials whenever possible. Assist with Shipping Department duties during down time, in-between trips.
