Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and safety-oriented Truck Driver to join our civil Construction team at C.K. Excavation. This position is responsible for operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including dump trucks, tilt deck trailers, detachable lowboy trailers, and side dumps, to support earthwork, utility, grading, and site development projects. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class A CDL, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to be an active member of the construction crew when not driving. This is not a "sit in the truck all day" position. Successful candidates must be willing to assist with labor, site preparation, equipment support, and other construction activities as needed to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate dump trucks, side dumps, tilt deck trailers, and detachable lowboy trailers.
- Transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from project sites.
- Load secure, and unlays heavy equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety requirements.
- Perform daily pre-trip and pot-trip inspections and maintain required logs and documentation.
- Assist field crews with grading, utility installation, site cleanup, and other construction tasks when not driving.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Eperience operation dump trucks, tilt deck trailers, detachable low boy, and side dumps preferred.
- knowledge of proper load securement and equipment transportation procedure.
- Ability to safely load and haul heavy construction equipment.
- Willingness to preform physical labor and assist construction crews as needed conditions.
