JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups (trailers) and tarping systems). Home every night, local area transport only-no traveling associated with this position.

REPORTS TO

The Dump truck driver will report to the Production Manager.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Thorough operational knowledge and skills of end dumps and/or belly dumps (with and without pups) and related equipment to be operated. Driver must be able to communicate effectively. Ability to connect and disconnect pup trailer. Ability to safely maneuver truck and trailer/pup in and out of close areas

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Driver will deliver all types of aggregates and other materials to locations both residential and commercial as well as internal production plants. Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient working condition of the equipment. Perform a pre/post trip inspection with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guideline. The driver will also perform minor servicing and maintenance with major problems being referred to the immediate supervisor. Ability to keep paperwork in order and turned in daily. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of different types and sizes of aggregates. EDUCATION and /or

EXPERIENCE

Driver must possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements and current physical card. Prior driving experience with dump truck and trailer/pups. Clean driving record, No DUI History Must have maneuvering and backing skills with pup/trailer Loader operating experience a plus
