Commercial Drivers License Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a professional Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to operate various types of trucks and transport freight safely and efficiently. This role involves route driving, load and unload duties, piece counting and adherence to safety regulations to ensure timely deliveries across designated routes. Candidates must possess a valid CDL and demonstrate strong driving skills with a focus on safety and customer service. Responsibilities Operate commercial trucks with manual / auto transmission across assigned routes, ensuring safe driving practices. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Good at piece counting for loose shipments Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in compliance with company policies and DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly. Follow designated routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Assist with securing cargo to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any delays. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with freight delivery using tractor-trailers or similar large vehicles. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks is preferred. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Prior delivery driver experience involving route driving and load & unload responsibilities is highly desirable. Ability to operate additional equipment such as forklifts is advantageous. Valid CDL license with a clean driving record is required. Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling is essential.
