Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and safety issues. Follow all federal, state, and local transportation regulations to ensure compliance during every delivery. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adapting to traffic conditions or unforeseen obstacles. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, cargo details, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road. Tanker endorsement is a PLUS Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven 2+ years of experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks. Demonstrated proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles and handling various truck configurations such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks. Strong understanding of route planning and navigation tools for route driving optimization.
