DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION

Drivers are responsible for packing donuts for wholesale deliveries, and delivering and collecting a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner. Essential Functions Accurately pack and drive personal automobile to load, unload, deliver and collect a variety of products and supplies between a variety of locations in a safe, professional, efficient and timely manner Provide and safely maintain personal automobile (including performing a vehicle inspection before and after each trip) and proof of insurance coverage indicating no less than state-mandated limits and in employee's name; insurance coverage must not exclude business purposes Follow local and state driving laws and road regulations and best practices for safety, both on and off the road Immediately report any personal or motor vehicle accidents, injuries or parking/moving violations to supervisors Professionally and courteously interact with customers to confirm delivery details, address complaints and resolve disputes, including obtaining customer signatures as instructed Analyze delivery address, determine appropriate routes, follow assigned routes and maintain schedule Maintain accurate mileage and other delivery logs and records Review and verify invoices, purchase requests and other instructions before and after delivery to ensure accurate deliveries and collections Work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment Effectively communicate in order to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken direction Multi-task calmly and effectively in a busy, stressful environment Work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds Sit, stand and walk for an entire shift and move safely through all areas of company and delivery/collection locations, which may include stairs, uneven or slick surfaces Key Responsibilities and Duties Ensure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipate guests' needs Use tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures Follow all rules, policies, procedures and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook Get along well with others and be a team player Other duties will be assigned as needed INDFOH
