Brief Summary of the role:

We are looking to hire a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who can consistently provide safe and accurate deliveries. Drivers must be detail-oriented, efficient, and must have a clean driving record. This position will generally work Monday to Friday, and will transport loads across a local route, so drivers will be home daily.

Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:

Drive and operate trucks. Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps. Pre-inspect truck. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Report road incidents to the dispatcher. Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients. Load and unload cargo. Inspect trucks and record issues. Follow accident procedures should any issues arise. Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel immediately. Maintain a positive attitude and build positive relations with customers. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Truck Driver Skills and Qualifications:

Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout day Able to pass random drug tests Clean driving record No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years Listening and verbal communication skills Dependability is very important

Education, Experience, and Age Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Must provide current MVR Must provide a medical certificate CDL
