Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight efficiently. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure and damage-free handling. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure roadworthiness. Follow designated routes and schedules diligently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Manage documentation related to deliveries, including bills of lading, delivery logs, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the truck and trailer to uphold safety standards. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with proven experience operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles. Experience with various vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred. Prior delivery driver experience with an emphasis on load & unload procedures and route driving. Knowledge of freight handling techniques including securing loads on flatbeds or in tankers.
