$24.00?$28.00/hour (based on experience) Garvey's Office Products is seeking a Furniture Installation Lead to oversee and execute commercial furniture installation projects throughout the Chicagoland area. This role serves as the on-site lead responsible for the successful assembly, installation, and delivery of office furniture and equipment, while directing a crew of installers to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with customer expectations. The Furniture Installation Lead performs all responsibilities of a Furniture Installer, in addition to leading jobsite coordination, customer communication, and project execution. Key Responsibilities Installation & Field Work Assemble and install commercial office furniture including desks, cubicles, seating, and related products. Install projects in a safe, high-quality, productive, and profitable manner. Follow applicable building standards and codes during installations. Use hand and power tools to assemble furniture and equipment. Move and lift products safely using appropriate equipment. Load, unload, and strap furniture to trucks to prevent damage during transport. Troubleshoot installation issues and repair or replace damaged or defective components as needed. Operate company vehicles including box trucks in a safe and responsible manner. Project & Crew Leadership Lead installation crew by setting expectations for teamwork, productivity, and accountability on job sites. Read and interpret drawings, layouts, and site plans to guide proper installation. Coordinate project logistics with Setup/Install Manager. Verify all furniture, inventory, and required tools are on site prior to beginning installation. Coordinate truck loading/unloading for installation projects. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, project managers, and internal teams. Conduct final punch list walk-throughs with clients to ensure project completion and satisfaction. Complete delivery ticket confirmations and required documentation for billing. Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer satisfaction through professional communication and service. Assist with installations and warehouse support as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
