Our ideal candidate would reside in Elkhart or Goshen, IN. You would be responsible for safely operating a rollback tow truck to transport vehicles and equipment. This position primarily handles insurance and cash calls from 7am-11pm within Elkhart County, but that does not mean you will never run outside of the county lines, and does not mean there may not be times where are are a few calls outside of those hours. Responsibilities Operate a flatbed tow truck to transport vehicles safely and efficiently. (If you have autoloader experience, please note that on your resume/application). Respond to dispatch calls for towing, roadside assistance, recoveries, and transports. Load and secure vehicles properly using chains, straps, and other equipment. Perform basic roadside services including jump starts, tire changes, lockouts, and winching when required. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding location, job status, and any issues that arise. Provide professional and courteous customer service to customers and property owners. Complete required paperwork, pictures, and electronic dispatch information accurately. Inspect truck and equipment daily to ensure safe operating condition. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned truck and equipment. Follow all company policies and safety procedures. Skills Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication with dispatch and customers. Ability to remain calm in stressful or emergency situations. Strong attention to safety procedures. Money management and paperwork organization. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to bend, kneel, and secure vehicles using towing equipment. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Shift & Pay This position is for a 24/7 on-call operator. You keep the truck at home and run calls as they are dispatched. When you are not on a call, you are free to go home, run errands, etc. That is your time. Our pay scale is commissioned base with a weekly draw paid in advance. You can make up to 30% of each call. We do not offer insurance at this time. We do offer 1-week's paid vacation after a year of full-time employment. If you'd rather work a 5-6 day per week schedule and not be commission based, that can be discussed. Qualifications Valid chauffer's license and DOT physical required. Ability to pass background check and driving record check. Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous towing experience required (min. 1 year). Ability to operate a flatbed tow truck safely in various weather and road conditions. Basic mechanical or vehicle knowledge preferred.

$1,000.00 - $2,500.00 per week
