Company Overview Galleher Industries is a manufacturer and value-added distributor of metal and lumber components to commercial truck body and trailer manufacturers. Founded in 1937, Galleher is headquartered in Pomona, California, with growing operations in Lafayette, Indiana and Kaufman, Texas. Position Summary Galleher Industries is seeking an experienced Combi-Lift Operator to support our Lafayette, Indiana facility. This is not an entry-level forklift position and is not a pick-and-pack warehouse environment . The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience operating a Combi-Lift and handling oversized, bulky freight , including lumber, steel, and other large materials. This role is responsible for safely loading and unloading trailers, transporting materials throughout the facility, and supporting warehouse and production operations in both indoor and outdoor environments. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Combi-Lift forklift to move, stage, load, and unload oversized freight. Load and unload trailers containing steel, lumber, and other large industrial materials. Transport raw materials to production workstations and designated storage areas. Locate and move inventory to pallets, racks, or storage locations. Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and report shortages or quality concerns. Maintain accurate inventory and activity records. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements. Assist with general warehouse operations and material handling activities. Learn and support various lumber and fabrication processes as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of Combi-Lift and forklift operating experience required. Demonstrated experience loading and unloading oversized, bulky, or irregular freight. High School Diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen and maintain a drug-free workplace. Ability to safely operate material handling equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Reliable transportation. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors. Physical Requirements Frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials weighing 50-100 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical labor throughout the shift. Ability to work in varying weather conditions when required.
