Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operations! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to transport freight across designated routes. Your expertise in driving, load handling, and route management will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied customers. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including manual transmission trucks, across local and regional routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling of all cargo types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and route documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules while adhering to safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times, route changes, or issues encountered during transit. Assist with loading cargo onto trucks and securing loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with a strong focus on freight handling. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the truck types operated (e.g., tanker, refrigerated trailer). Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles with a solid understanding of tractor-trailer systems. Experience with various truck types such as flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols for commercial driving. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
