Non-Emergency Driver/ NEMT

We are looking for reliable , dependable, self motivated, caring and safe drivers for a rapidly growing non-emergent medical transportation company.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a NEMT wheelchair and stretcher van
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers during transportation
• Follow app based designated routes and schedules to ensure on-time arrivals and departures
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance needs for the vehicle to ensure its safe operation
• Rotating early mornings, late evenings and weekends and some overtime are required

Experience:

• Previous experience in transportation or working with the disabled and elderly
• Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus
• Ability to handle heavy lifting when necessary and a significant amount of pushing, pulling, bending and stooping.

Skills:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and clean criminal background
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and Dependable. Must be able to use app based routing, scheduling and time keeping.
• Strong customer service orientation
• Ability to work independently and also follow instructions
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, the city streets and traffic flow.
• Able to pass preemployment drug screening and background checks
