(Department of Transportation) regulations Waste collection Commercial driving Full Job Description Job Summary ICT Trash Service is a locally owned and growing trash company serving Wichita, Haysville, Maize, and surrounding communities. We're looking for a dependable Garbage Truck Driver to join our team. This position will primarily operate a rear load garbage truck , with opportunities to train and move into operating our automated side-load trucks as you grow with the company. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, works hard, and wants to be part of a team that treats employees with respect. We've built our company around strong customer service and strong company culture, and we want people who contribute positively to both. This job requires to be physically active, as you get in and out of the truck all day and have to roll the full trash carts to the back of the truck (truck dumps them for you). If you're dependable, safety-minded, and willing to learn, we're willing to train the right person. What You'll Do Safely operate a rear load garbage truck on residential and/or commercial routes Collect waste safely and efficiently while providing excellent service to customers Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or route problems promptly Complete assigned routes efficiently while following company safety procedures Maintain a clean and professional attitude with customers and team members Follow DOT regulations and company policies Assist with route cleanup or additional operational tasks when needed Train on additional equipment and routes as opportunities become available Qualifications Class B CDL required Clean driving record required Previous waste industry experience is helpful, but not required We are willing to train the right candidate Ability to safely operate large commercial vehicles Ability to perform physical tasks associated with waste collection Reliable transportation to and from work Strong work ethic and positive attitude Team-oriented mindset Must pass pre-employment drug screen What We're Looking For We're not looking for someone who just wants a paycheck—we're looking for someone who wants to be part of a growing company with a strong team culture.
