Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers to deliver freight across multiple routes. Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight to prevent damage during transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and load security. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS technology and route planning tools to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of pickups and deliveries with the correct BOLs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and mechanics when needed. Follow all safety protocols related to driving manual transmission trucks and automatic trucks. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving standards and safety procedures. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles with confidence and control. Familiarity with hauling dry van loads, no touch loads. Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and load securement best practices for freight transportation. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
