Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in various truck types, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across local and regional routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling Transport a variety of freight types including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving efficiently to maximize productivity Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license, including expertise in manual transmission operation Strong knowledge of different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Skilled in load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment safely and efficiently Excellent route planning abilities with a focus on safety and timeliness Ability to handle freight securely during transit and delivery processes Familiarity with driving regulations related to commercial trucking and cargo safety standards Physical stamina for long hours on the road and manual handling of freight when necessary Join our team if you're passionate about driving excellence!
