POSITION TITLE

TRUCK

DRIVER - CDL A

The Truck Driver delivers finished goods to Harbor Steel customers.

POSITION REPORTS TO

Site Specific (Plant Superintendent and/or Shift Supervisor)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver finished goods to customers Perform pre-trip inspections Comply with DOT regulations Keep an electronic log as required Check truck before departure to cross reference bill of lading to loaded material Strap and tarp loads Interact positively with customers as the "face of Harbor Steel" Understand and comply with the Harbor Transportation unloading procedures both at Harbor Steel and customer facility Perform additional duties as assigned Keep truck clean of all debris

QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of valid driver's license and appropriate class CDL Ability to comply with DOT regulations Ability to lift 50 lbs. Certified to operate a crane and a forklift Ability to keep a logbook if required Basic math skills High school diploma, training, and/or equivalent experience

Steel-toe safety shoes Safety Glasses Gloves Hard hat while loading
