Box Truck Driver/ Appliance Installer

Job Summary The Box Truck Driver / Appliance Installer is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, delivery, and installation of household appliances and related products to customer locations. This role requires operating a non-CDL box truck, handling heavy equipment, and ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately, on schedule, and with exceptional customer service. Key duties include loading and unloading appliances, performing basic installation and connection (e.g., washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers), inspecting items for damage, completing delivery paperwork, and maintaining communication with dispatch and customers. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 26-foot box truck in compliance with DOT regulations Deliver and install appliances in residential and commercial settings Load and unload merchandise using proper safety techniques and equipment Verify product accuracy, condition, and customer order details Connect and test appliances to ensure proper operation Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and customers regarding delivery status Maintain delivery logs, inspection reports, and related documentation including photos of appliances in place prior to leaving residential delivery site. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized truck and workspace

Duties:

Operate a 26 ft box truck safely and in compliance with all DOT and company regulations Load and secure appliances and related merchandise for transport using proper lifting and safety techniques Deliver appliances to residential and commercial customer locations on time and in good condition Unload and inspect all products upon delivery to ensure there is no damage or missing items Install appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and ranges according to manufacturer and company standards Connect appliances to existing plumbing, electrical, or gas lines when applicable Test installed appliances to verify proper function and performance Remove and dispose of old appliances or packaging materials when required Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery and installation documentation accurately Communicate professionally with customers, providing excellent service and resolving on-site concerns or questions Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse teams for delivery schedules, route updates, and any issues encountered Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and tools Follow all company safety, appearance, and conduct policies Training will be provided on installation Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ( CDL Not Required) Must be able to operate a 26 foot box truck. Experience driving box trucks and handling large appliances Basic knowledge of appliance installation, plumbing, and electrical connections Ability to lift and maneuver heavy items (up to 150 lbs with assistance) Strong customer service and communication skills Reliability, punctuality, and professional appearance
