  • Job Summary:
  • Responsible for operating trucks to transport a variety of products safely. Focuses on basic driving tasks, loading/unloading, and compliance with traffic laws. Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • + Safely operate trucks to deliver products according to schedule.
+ Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety. + May be responsible for loading and unloading shipments. + Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery documentation. + Reads bill of lading to determine assignment and/or creates bill of lading and delivery ticket if needed. + Inspects goods to be moved. + May secure load to trailer wall using straps. + Drives tractor-trailer combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver products, maybe over long distance. + Maneuvers truck into loading or unloading position, following signals from spotter as needed. + May drive truck to weigh station before and after loading, and along route to document weight and conform to state regulations. + Maintains driver log according to federal regulations. + May work as member of two-person team driving tractor with sleeper bunk behind cab. + Assists in other maintenance or production areas as required. + Loads bulk and flatbed trucks as required. + Performs other duties assigned by management.
  • Essential Credentials:
  • Commercial Drivers License
  • Class A Education and Experience Requirements +
  • Education:
  • + High School Diploma or Equivalent +
  • Experience:
  • + 3 years of job-related experience. + Experience with lowboy preferred. + Knowledge of regulations for the transportation of products and materials being transported. + Must be able to drive 18-speed standard transmission with 40 flatbed trailers.

  • + Work schedule is typically Monday
  • Friday, 5:45AM-2P, when not on the road. + When hauling schedule could result in extended hours. + Overtime is paid at time and a half beyond 40hrs in work week Monday
  • Sunday.
+ Position is paid bi-weekly. + Benefits eligible day one of hire.
