Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trucks and heavy equipment to transport materials, waste, or products to designated locations. Your expertise in commercial driving combined with mechanical knowledge will ensure timely deliveries and efficient load handling. Duties Safely operate a range of trucks including , tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport goods or waste materials. Load and unload cargo or waste using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring secure handling and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs when necessary, utilizing your mechanical knowledge to support vehicle upkeep. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency during transit routes. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries or pickups promptly. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with relevant endorsements for operating heavy trucks and specialized equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on various truck types. Experience operating , tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. Proven driving skills with a clean driving record in commercial driving environments. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading/unloading operations. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles commonly used in heavy-duty trucking. Knowledge of load securing techniques for different truck types including flatbeds and roll-offs.
