Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in various truck types, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a CDL A tractor-trailer across multiple routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive specialized trucks including refrigerated trailers, dry van Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, report any issues promptly, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while minimizing fuel consumption and adhering to delivery schedules. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pick-up and delivery times, resolve issues promptly, and provide excellent service. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on freight delivery; experience with route driving preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and safely. Experience driving various truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment; previous forklift certification is a plus. Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation. Excellent navigation skills and the ability to plan efficient routes for timely deliveries.
