Boom Truck Operator QXO, Inc. (

The Boom Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to customer locations and job sites using boom truck equipment. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with operation of boom and lifting equipment to support accurate and timely material placement. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and experienced working in construction or building materials environments. What you'll do: Operate boom trucks and commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT and company regulations Deliver building materials to customer locations and active job sites Secure materials properly for safe transport and delivery Operate boom and lifting equipment while following all safety procedures and operational guidelines Execute safe and accurate material placement at job sites Perform daily inspections and equipment checks to ensure proper operation and compliance Identify and report equipment issues, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards promptly Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and job site personnel Assist with verifying order accuracy and delivery documentation Maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude during deliveries and site interactions Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards Maintain a clean driving record and operate equipment responsibly Support a safe and organized work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations What you'll bring: Strong commitment to safety and responsible equipment operation Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to detail and order accuracy Ability to work in fast-paced outdoor and construction environments Valid CDL Class B license in good standing Required hoisting or boom operation certification/licensing (where applicable) Valid medical card and ability to meet DOT requirements Clean driving record Experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy equipment Experience in building materials, drywall, or construction environments Familiarity with load securement and job site safety practices Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required Ability to perform work in outdoor, warehouse, and active construction environments Comfortability with exposure to varying weather conditions, equipment, and job site hazards Frequent climbing, lifting, and operation of heavy equipment Ability to work early mornings, overtime, or extended hours based on business needs What you'll earn: Health Care Benefits 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off Benefits for union‑represented roles are determine d by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits. Salary Range:
USD $30.81 - USD $38.56 /Hr.
