Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and reliably across designated routes. Your expertise in handling of dry van will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial power only truck to transport freight trailers across multiple routes. Pick up customer trailer inside the Baltimore area running a 13 hr daily schedule home daily, over the road is also available if needed. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each journey. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during route driving to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of freight movement, including load manifests and delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays or issues encountered during transit. Skills Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers in various conditions. Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks for versatile route requirements. Experience with dry van trailers and power only trucks. Excellent route planning skills with the ability to adapt to changing schedules or road conditions. Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices in compliance with all federal and state regulations related to commercial driving.
