Full-Time Job Summary Kirby Metal is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Roll-Off Truck Driver to transport and service roll-off containers for metal recycling and waste removal operations. The driver will be responsible for delivering, picking up, and transporting containers to and from customer sites and disposal facilities while ensuring compliance with all safety and DOT regulations. Roll-off drivers typically haul waste or scrap materials from construction, commercial, or industrial sites and ensure proper disposal or recycling. Key Responsibilities Operate a roll-off truck to deliver and pick up containers at customer locations Safely load and unload containers using hydraulic hoist systems Transport materials to recycling yards, landfills, or designated facilities Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete DVIR reports Maintain accurate logs, route sheets, and delivery/pickup records Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, issues, or delays Keep truck clean and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly Provide professional customer service at job sites Requirements & Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or B license (air brake endorsement preferred) Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug screening Minimum 1-2 years of commercial driving experience (roll-off experience preferred) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions Knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices Ability to work independently and follow instructions Preferred Qualifications Experience in scrap metal, construction, or waste hauling Familiarity with roll-off or dump truck equipment Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks and equipment Work Environment Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Frequent entering/exiting truck and physical activity throughout the day Possible overtime and weekend work depending on demand Compensation & Benefits (customize) Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Why Work at Kirby Metal Local, stable company Consistent routes in the DMV area Hands-on work in recycling and metal industry Call Gerry at 240-882-0167 for an interview.
