Logistics Management Job Description Duties and Responsibilities- Performs operations maintenance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Notifies Dispatcher of any mechanical problem or body damage
- Loads/unloads packages onto trucks, forklifts and other equipment in a manner that protects the material from damage
- Operates assigned truck to pick-up and deliver material, supplies, packages, equipment, etc., both on and off the GSFC facility
- Obtains work assignments, required signatures, completes related paperwork documenting the pick-up/delivery, returns paperwork to Dispatcher
- Notifies Dispatcher if delivery is refused or not delivered and of reason for refusal or inability to deliver
- Operates a forklift to assist in unloading and loading trucks
- Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications
- Two years' experience operating trucks comparable to those operated on this project
- Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)-Class A, with applicable endorsements as required by position
- Must present a current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) issued by a certified medical provider listed on the National Register of Certified Medical Examiners
- Subject to pre-employment and ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks to confirm a safe driving history
- Must pass a DOT-compliant pre-employment drug screen and participate in an employer-administered drug and alcohol testing program, which includes:
- Random testing
- Post-accident testing
- Reasonable suspicion testing
- Return-to-duty and follow-up testing (if applicable)
- Must consent to a full query of the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse prior to hire, and to annual limited queries during employment
- Must report any CDL suspensions, disqualifications, or convictions for traffic violations in accordance with Federal regulations
- Must know and follow state and federal commercial vehicle regulations enforced by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and Department of Transportation
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a current forklift operator's license or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Must possess basic computer literacy skills to include the use of the internet and Microsoft office programs (Outlook and Word)
- Sensitive equipment training and certification may be required for handling and moving Program Critical Hardware (PCH) Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Ability to pass a
NASA GSFC
forklift physical- Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stoop, bend, push and pull

Rate of Pay/Benefits Internal Hire Hourly Rate:
$36.26External Hire Hourly Rate:
$27.20- CBA states new hires hourly rate will be calculated at 75% for the 12 months of employment.
