Truck Driver

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this vital role, you will operate any one of our company issued vehicles. Whether it be the refrigerated pick up truck or the refrigerated box truck you are driving, you will be handling perishable cargo. Your expertise in driving and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like power jacks, when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with members of management to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and freight handling. Valid Maryland driver's license with a DOT card preferred. Experience operating a box truck is highly desirable. Knowledge of load securing techniques and safety protocols for transporting freight. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like power jacks when required for loading or unloading cargo. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance standards.
