Local CDL Class A Truck Driver

Class A CDL Driver - Local Deliveries & Trucking Operations Scott's Landscape Management / SLM Equipment is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating trucks and trailers in real-world working conditions and can confidently handle deliveries, backing, maneuvering, and jobsite driving safely and efficiently. This position includes a mix of: Local deliveries Equipment hauling Material hauling Trucking operations Working with truck & train combinations We are looking for someone with solid experience, especially with backing trailers, maneuvering in tight areas, and safely operating truck/trailer combinations. Responsibilities Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles and trailers Haul materials, equipment, and loads to and from jobsites Perform local deliveries Properly secure and inspect loads Back trailers and maneuver equipment confidently and safely Complete required paperwork and load documentation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures Qualifications Valid Class A CDL Clean driving record preferred Experience with truck & train combinations preferred Experience backing and maneuvering trailers required Ability to safely operate in tight spaces and jobsites Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused Able to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Experience Heavy hauling or construction-related trucking Equipment hauling Dump trailers, lowboys, or train experience Landscape, excavation, or construction industry experience a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Local work/home regularly Growing company with steady work Supportive team environment We are looking for someone experienced, safety-minded, and confident behind the wheel — someone who takes pride in doing the job right.
