generally Job description: Job Description Sun Valley Foods is a Detroit based food distribution company looking for drivers to deliver in Michigan. We are a Food Warehouse, delivering to prisons, jails, schools, commissaries and processing plants.

CDL-A :

- up to $29.00 per hour

CDL-B :

- up to $24.50 per hour

• Generally no weekends
• Newer model trucks and tractors
• Some overnight routes possible for CDL-A depending on the route. (1 overnight ) Most routes return daily.
• Benefits package includes: Medical, Dental, Optical, Life Insurance, 401K Plan- Paid Holidays, Vacation- and Sick Time.

JOB Duties:

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection Must have qualifications:
• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B
• Clean drug/alcohol screen
• Clean criminal background due to jail deliveries
• Ideal candidates will possess. . .
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Good MVR
• 12-24 months of verified experience
• Manual Pallet Jack experience is helpful
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
