Job Description

Job Title:
Loader Job Description This position involves the safe and efficient operation of a yard switcher, with responsibilities including the loading of finished goods and raw materials into bulk tank wagons. The role requires weighing tankers in and out on the company scale to ensure all paperwork matches the assigned tanker and materials. The driver will ensure proper staging of tankers and inspect and connect related connections from storage tanks or blend vessels prior to loading materials. Strong communication skills are essential to report any issues or delays to shift supervisors or managers. Responsibilities Safely drive a yard switcher and load finished goods and raw materials into bulk tank wagons. Weigh tankers in and out and ensure paperwork accuracy. Properly stage tankers and inspect connections from storage tanks or blend vessels. Communicate with shift supervisors/managers about any issues or delays. Move trailers on site to support production. Transport drum trailers between the dock and yard as needed. Essential Skills Ability to move drums up to 500 pounds with a hilo in a safe manner. Experience in moving plastic drums. Forklift certification from previous positions. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to stand for long periods and walk significant distances daily. Capability to work in small spaces and high locations. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift bags and containers up to 50 pounds safely. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of chemicals. Experience as a chemical operator. Why Work Here? It is a dirty environment, but operates in a team setting where operators work independently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
