OTR CDL A Semi Truck Driver

Responsibilities:

Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across extensive routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Drive flatbed and lowboy trailers. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation and inspection reports in compliance with DOT standards.

Experience:

Must have proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL A License, preferably with experience driving tractor-trailers in an OTR setting. Must have familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and handling trailer types such as flatbeds and lowboys. Must have the ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts safely, when loading or unloading freight. Must possess strong knowledge of safety procedures and compliance standards related to commercial trucking and transportation regulations.
