Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated local routes Load and unload freight using proper techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary Deliver goods promptly to various customer locations, adhering to route schedules and safety standards Handle different types of trailers including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for all shipments and activities Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license and clean driving record Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks with a strong understanding of tractor-trailer operations Familiarity with handling various freight types such as refrigerated goods, flatbeds, tankers, and freight requiring special equipment like forklifts or dump trucks Knowledge of route driving best practices, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or using equipment as needed Embark on a fulfilling career where your driving skills make a difference!
