Job Title:

Yard Supervisor Job Description The Yard Supervisor oversees all material handling activities in a steel yard environment, ensuring that production has the metal and materials needed to run without interruption. This role works outdoors approximately 99% of the time and manages the unloading, organization, and flow of materials from the yard to the plant. The Yard Supervisor coordinates closely with the project manager and purchasing to maintain accurate inventory, verify documentation, and support timely completion of customer orders. Will be working independently operating Skytraks, and maneuvering steel outdoors/indoors. Work Environment The role is based in a steel yard and is performed outdoors approximately 99% of the time, in varying weather conditions. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., typically completing 10-hour shifts. The environment involves regular use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, Sky Track, and Delta trucks, as well as frequent interaction with steel beams, metal, bolts, and related materials. The setting is industrial and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and efficient movement of materials between the yard and the shop. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
