In this energetic role, you'll operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across various job sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, safe load handling, and efficient route driving. Duties Safely operate dump trucks equipped with manual transmissions to transport construction materials and debris to designated locations. Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring proper securing of loads using appropriate equipment like forklifts or tie-downs. Drive along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety features to maintain optimal vehicle performance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports to ensure compliance and operational transparency. Assist with other truck types such as roll-off trucks or flatbeds as needed for specialized freight or material handling tasks. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate schedules and address any route or load issues promptly. Experience Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a commercial driving environment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not mandatory depending on local regulations. Familiarity with manual transmission operation and handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers is a plus. Experience in route driving, load & unload procedures, and freight handling across diverse job sites. Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous for loading/unloading freight efficiently.
