HDM Meal Driver
JOB DESCRIPTION

In Home Service Coordinator Special considerations: requires pre-employment physical
QUALIFICATIONS
Care for and ability to relate to senior population Flexible, organized, efficient, thorough, patient Ability and willingness to follow confidentiality laws and policies Ability and willingness to handle emergencies in accordance with OCOA policy Current driver license, professional driving experience preferred Clean driving history, past 10 years (excluding minor tickets, see disqualifying offenses) Familiarity with roads in Ogemaw County, ability to find addresses Available to work Monday through Friday Reliable personal vehicle, or access to same See below for physical requirements of position
DUTIES:
Deliver meals punctually each day according to designated route. Assist Program Assistant in maintaining current, standard delivery route. Deliver meals as ordered, ensuring meals maintain appropriate temperature Maintain participant confidentiality at all times. Maintain accurate daily driver log, and meal sheets. Inform In Home Service Coordinator of any issues regarding participants. Deposit with Program Assistant any and all donations received from participants. Responsible for cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicle Responsible for monitoring maintenance schedules and ensuring regular maintenance and repairs are addressed as needed Responsible for limited delivery of meals in private vehicle in the event a COA delivery vehicle is unavailable. Wear COA identification at all times when working Attend all mandated trainings. Submit to TB testing as necessary. Abide by all State, Federal, AASA, and COA standards. Assume any additional duties as ordered by the In Home Service Coordinator

  • Outdoors while loading, and to and from delivery vehicle

  • Variety of private homes
  • walkways, stairways, ramps etc.
  • Some exposure to pets / smoking
  • Travel on a variety of road types
  • paved, dirt, occasionally private trails
  • some in poor condition
Pay:
$13.73
  • $14.
25 per hour
