Job description Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed dump truck. This role involves route driving to deliver freight efficiently while following all safety regulations and company policies. Flatbed experience preferred but willing to train. Duties Local deliveries and home daily. Western Star 2022 Heavy Duty- Automatic- Well maintained truck Shift hours are typically 7am-3pm. Opportunities for overtime when busy during the landscape season (roughly 9 months) Operate commercial flatbed dump truck. Execute route driving to deliver products to designated locations in a timely manner. Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Common freight is concrete block/pavers on wooden pallet with heavy duty shrink wrap. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatcher Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Reports directly to General Manager Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with dump trucks or as a delivery driver. Strong navigation skills. Ability to load and unload freight safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and clients. Must pass a background check and DOT drug screening as part of the hiring process. A commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies regarding commercial driving.
