Job Description
1Micro in Waconia, MN is a fast-growing tech company that manufactures and manages key security devices and inventory systems for car dealerships, commercial companies, fleet departments, and multifamily properties. For over 30 years, we have provided innovative solutions for some of the common problems within the automotive industry, and we continue to push the boundaries of technology to better serve our customers. Due to our rapid growth and current development projects with multiple Fortune 500 companies, we are looking for a team-focused, driven, and friendly Delivery Driver to join our team!
Primary Responsibilities:
Transportation, Delivery & Vehicle Compliance Safely operate commercial vehicles with a Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT requirements Transport and deliver company products nationwide in a safe, timely, and professional manner Accurately load, secure, and unload products to prevent damage during transport Plan and execute delivery routes while accounting for traffic, construction, weather, and other potential delays Utilize the company's Electronic Logging Device (ELD) system to accurately record hours of service and maintain required documentation including mileage, fuel usage, tolls, and related records in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy Verify delivery information and obtain required documentation or signatures Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and internal team members regarding delivery schedules and status updates Conduct required pre-trip, post-trip, and periodic vehicle inspections Perform routine vehicle maintenance and cleaning, including monitoring fluid levels, tire condition, lights, and general vehicle condition Coordinate and facilitate scheduled maintenance and necessary repairs with authorized service providers as required Promptly report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or compliance matters to management Maintain required licenses, certifications, and medical qualifications necessary for commercial vehicle operation Represent the company professionally at all times while traveling and at customer locations Onsite Service & Technical Responsibilities Perform scheduled maintenance services under customer maintenance agreements Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or operational issues on both legacy and current product models Perform repairs, part replacements, adjustments, and equipment modifications as required Install new drawer systems and related product components at customer locations Set up equipment and verify proper functionality prior to completion of service Provide basic operational instruction or training to customers as appropriate Maintain and manage service tools, equipment, and replacement parts inventory Document service work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future service Communicate service findings, technical concerns, and customer feedback to internal teams Safety & Professional Standards Comply with all applicable laws, DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Perform work in a manner that promotes a safe environment for employees, customers, and the public Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs Hours and Benefits Over-the-road delivery position requiring travel throughout the USA, with trips typically lasting 10-14 days at a time, including availability to travel during holidays when necessary While on the road, Marriott hotel accommodations paid for by employer along with $50 daily meal allowance Full-time, full benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off (PTO) $2,500 quarterly safety bonus for no accidents, tickets, or other incidents Requirements/Qualifications Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. High School Diploma or GED required Must be at least 25 years of age Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating a van, truck, and/or trailer Prior experience performing mechanical service, maintenance, installation, or technical field work preferred Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required Fluency in English required Valid Class D driver's license with clean motor vehicle record Ability to meet DOT requirements as applicable, including successful completion of required drug and alcohol testing and medical examinations Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance Ability to safely operate vans, trucks, and trailers Basic computer systems Strong navigation and route-planning skills Ability to work independently in field environments and collaboratively with internal teams Strong organizational and time management skills Strong attention to detail Ability to maintain accurate documentation and service records Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to remain alert and work irregular hours as business needs require Professional and customer-focused demeanor Ability to adapt to changing schedules, travel demands, and field conditions Excellent analytical, troubleshooting abilitiesPay:
