Must have rgn or step deck experience/ 18 speed 379 and w900 available Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Haul Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of transporting oversized and specialized freight across diverse routes. In this role, you will operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers equipped with manual transmissions, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient deliveries while adhering to all safety standards and regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across assigned routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit. Drive long distances on route schedules while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Manage various types of freight including oversized loads, refrigerated goods, tanker liquids, and other specialized cargo with precision and care. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or potential issues encountered during transit. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Requirements Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on heavy haul operations; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation; experience with tractor-trailers is essential. Demonstrated ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Familiarity with various trailer types including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of load securing techniques for different freight types to ensure safety during transit. Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks regularly.
