Truck Driver

Overview We are small company that runs mostly in the mid-west. You will work along side of the owner, as he drives as well. We are looking for a driver to haul windows with a freight trailer. There is also a potential to haul grain with a grain trailer. Responsibilities Safely operate trucks and trailers Unload cargo efficiently at stops Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations during route driving to ensure safe delivery of goods. Manage route schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency and minimizing delays. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, route changes, or any vehicle issues encountered during trips. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and inspection reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements Proven experience as a truck driver with a focus on commercial driving; delivery driver experience is highly valued. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g., tanker, refrigerated trailer). Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles Ability to unload freight safely Strong knowledge of route driving practices along with excellent navigation skills. Physical ability to handle unloading tasks and long hours on the road; must pass health screenings and drug tests as required by law.
