Part-Time, Full-Time Position Overview Champion & Son's Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Tandem Operator to join our team in Canton, MS. This role is responsible for safely operating a tandem axle dump truck to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, and debris to and from job sites. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Operate a tandem axle dump truck in a safe and efficient manner Transport materials to and from construction sites as assigned Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle Ensure proper loading and secure transport of materials Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the truck Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members Assist with general labor tasks when needed Qualifications Valid CDL (Class A or B) required Minimum 1-2 years of dump truck or heavy equipment experience preferred Clean driving record Ability to operate manual transmission (if applicable) Knowledge of basic truck maintenance and safety procedures Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per day Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary Work Schedule Monday-Friday (occasional weekends as needed) Hours may vary based on project demands Compensation &• Benefits• Competitive pay based on experience Why Join Champion & Son's Construction?
