Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Class B Truck Driver to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating medium-duty trucks to deliver freight efficiently and reliably across designated routes. Your expertise in various truck types, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity for drivers passionate about delivering exceptional service and navigating diverse driving environments. Duties Safely operate Class B trucks with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, handling a variety of cargo including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or roll-off containers. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, maintaining punctuality and optimizing fuel efficiency. Deliver freight to various locations, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo during transit. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of mileage, fuel usage, and load details. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and address any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating trucks handling diverse freight types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload procedures. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment like forklifts when required for loading or unloading cargo. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and transportation industry standards. Strong organizational skills for route planning and documentation accuracy.
