Job Description

CDL Driver Waste Connections $23.50 / hr vision insurance, paid time off, retirement plan United States, Montana, Victor Apr 11, 2026 Waste Connections is seeking a reliable and experiencedCDLA Driverto operate ourMissoula route, hauling trash from our transfer station to the landfill in Missoula. This position involves operating aroll-off truckwith one box on the truck and pulling a trailer withtwo additional boxes, totalingthree boxes per tripto the landfill.
Starting Pay:
$23.50/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, occasional Saturdays as needed
Start Time:
Between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on route availability
Key Responsibilities:
Waste CollectionandTransportation:
Operate trash trucks to collect garbage,recycling, and yard waste on assigned routes. Ensure the safe and efficient loading of waste materials using appropriate techniques and equipment. Transport collected waste to designated disposal facilities.
Vehicle Operation and Maintenance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the fleet maintenance team promptly. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating the vehicle and handling waste materials. Comply with local, state, and federal regulations related towaste managementandtransportation. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and provided.
Customer Service:
Interact courteously with customers and the public, addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Ensurewaste collectionservices meet customer expectations and resolve issues promptly.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of daily routes, waste collected, and any incidents or issues encountered. Complete and submit requireddocumentationin a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Validcommercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Two years ofcommercial drivingexperiencepreferred. Strong knowledge of local streets and routes. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and loading heavy items 50 lb +, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb into the truck multiple times a day. Comfortable working in various weather conditions Good communication and interpersonal skills. Steady working history. Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks.
