Driver & Team Lead Pop Slinger (Summer Seasonal)

King of Pops is looking for a responsible, high-energy Team Lead for the summer season! In this hybrid role, you are the trusted captain of the beach crew. You will manage morning inventory, drive the company truck to drop off our team of Pop Slingers at Ocean Isle Beach, hit the sand to sell pops yourself, and close out the warehouse at the end of the day. If you are a highly trustworthy, sales-minded person who wants to get a workout in while getting paid top dollar, this is the job for you. The Pay (Guaranteed Base + Hustle) We are looking for a rock-solid leader to take ownership of this operation, and we compensate accordingly. You will earn a highly competitive, guaranteed hourly wage for running the logistics, paired with an aggressive commission structure that directly rewards your hustle on the sand.

Base Pay:

$16.50 per hour (Guaranteed W-2)

Commission:

Earn $0.50 for every single pop you sell.

Daily Bonus:

Hit 100 pops in a single shift? That's an instant $25 Bonus!

Tips:

You keep 100% of your tips (beachgoers are very generous!).

The Schedule Hours:

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5 days a week).

Extra Cash:

Opportunities for overtime are available if we book special evening events! What You Will Be Doing (The Day-to-Day) Morning Prep (9:00 AM): Arrive at the Bolivia warehouse to pack the cooler carts with ice packs and the day's flavors. Safely load the pushcarts onto the truck using ramps.

The Route:

Drive the company truck from the warehouse to various beach accesses to drop off the team. The Hustle (10:30 AM - 4:00 PM): Grab your own cart, walk the shores, and sell frozen treats to beachgoers.

The Pick-Up:

Load the team and the carts back onto the truck, and drive everyone safely back to the warehouse. The Close-Out (5:00 PM): Unload the truck, unpack unsold pops back into the freezers, collect the daily cash envelopes from all employees, deposit them securely in the warehouse drop box, and ensure the building is locked up. Trust & Responsibility:

You will be handling cash and inventory daily. Honesty and reliability are a must.

Driving History:

Must have at least 3 years of experience and feel completely comfortable driving and backing up a truck.

Insurance Eligibility:

Our commercial auto insurance provider strictly requires all drivers to have 0 points on their motor vehicle record over the last 3 years to qualify for coverage and be at least 19 years of age.

Physical Strength:

This is a heavy-duty, outdoor workout! You must be capable of pushing a 150lb cart through soft sand and up a truck ramp by yourself.
