Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport materials efficiently. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, mechanical condition, and compliance with DOT regulations. Manage heavy lifting tasks when handling bulky or heavy loads, utilizing appropriate tools and safety procedures. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and load manifests to ensure transparency and accountability. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route or vehicle issues promptly. Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck operated. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery routes involving manual transmission vehicles. Mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks including front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during loading/unloading processes. Familiarity with load securing techniques and safety protocols for various truck types. Strong driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Prior experience operating specialized trucks such as dump trucks or tractor-trailers is highly desirable.
