is a United States Postal Service contractor. We are seeking a safety-conscious and motivated CDL Class A driver to join the team. Candidates must have a valid CDL A and at least three years of commercial driving experience. Candidates must have an MVR that reflects safety consciousness, and be able to pass a Postal Background Check and pre-employment drug screen. We have an immediate full-time CDL A Tractor Trailer Driver position available for a local route in Charlotte, NC. The rate of pay is $33.44 per hour (Breakdown of pay- $27.89 per hour plus $5.55 per hour for Health and Welfare Fringe Benefit for up to 80 hours per pay period). Driver must arrive to work on time! This is a ​full-time, touch freight position on a local route. Driver will earn at least ​53 hours per week. Monday through Saturday. Driver will return home daily. Paid training and ride along. 24/7 dispatch support. The driver picks up, transports, and delivers bulk U.S. Mail by driving a tractor trailer. Must physically load and unload mail loaded in APC's and BMC's and other roll on/roll off containers used by the Postal Facilities, and any other duties as assigned by management. Collecting mail consists of physically loading a tractor/trailer with rolling containers containing mail. Dropping off mail consists of physically offloading the trailer. Driver will work Monday through Saturday The total route hours are 8 hours and 55 minutes daily. Sundays are OFF duty. The daily route schedule is as follows: The driver will load the mail at the first location, the Charlotte RPDC, Gastonia, NC then transport the mail to Huntersville, Mooresville, Cornelius, Supplement First and then return to the RPDC Gastonia to reload mail. Each location provided are the arrival and departure locations from each stop. Route ends at approximately 7:25PM before returning to the terminal.

55PM 7:25PM Skills Required Preferably a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience and the ability to maneuver and back in tight spots. Must have a clean driving record, can have limited minor violations. Ability to read, comprehend, and write in the English language and perform simple tasks with the mental ability to handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain logs. Must be able to use a GPS to go to different Post Offices. Driver must have a smart phone and be able to use Mapquest/google maps/Samsara driving directions. Must have detailed knowledge of and comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to, those governing safe driving, hours of service, inspections, and transportation. Ability to meet DOT regulations and guidelines pertaining to the physical qualifications for commercial drivers. Ability to satisfactorily pass alcohol and drug tests. Ability to be subject to irregular work schedules, short notice for assignment of trip, tight delivery schedules, delays on trip, and other stress and fatigue related to driving a truck on crowded streets and highways in various weather conditions. Qualifications Driver must have a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL A) and a minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Candidate's motor vehicle record must reflect safety consciousness. Must be able to operate in an independent environment with limited supervision. Must be able to pass a Postal background check and a drug test.
