CDL Port Truck Driver- Home Daily Next Level Trucking II, LLC Charlotte, NC Job Details Full-time $1,000 - $1,400 a week 14 hours ago Qualifications Automobile transportation Customer communication TWIC Card CDL A Attention to detail Performing background checks Time management Full Job Description We are seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Truck Drivers to transport freight containers to and from the ports. This role involves operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and port authority regulations, ensuring timely and efficient pickup and delivery of loads. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safe driving practices. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle for container drayage to and from port terminals. Pick up, transport, and deliver containerized cargo between ports, warehouses, rail yards, and customer facilities. Comply with port entry/exit procedures, TWIC card requirements, and all safety/security protocols. Accurately complete all required trip logs, bills of lading, inspection reports, and delivery documentation. Inspect truck, chassis, and container before and after trips to ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, breakdowns, or changes in delivery schedules. Maintain compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service while representing the company in a professional manner. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. TWIC Card required (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Minimum of 1 year CDL driving experience (port drayage experience preferred). Knowledge of DOT regulations, port operations, and container drayage procedures. Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELD) and maintain accurate records. Strong problem-solving and time-management skills. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and medical exam.
