Job Description
Duties:
- Safely operate a tractor trailer.
- Transport materials and goods to and from designated locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect and write up vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Communicate with dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred (2 years)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and make deliveries on time
- Physical stamina to get in and out of a tractor safely and endure long hours of driving Most of our drivers opt to be home weekly but if you would like to run through the weekend, that is possible operations@customtransportnc.
